Don’t You Need a Log Rocking Chair?

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

log rockerI imagine one of the best things about having a log home would be browsing for furniture suitable for a loggy environment. I think this Kentucky log rocking chair would do just fine, especially if you like a little rocker action when you’re reading your favorite book. This one comes without a finish, so you could actually stain it yourself in order to match it to your current decor (or even the stain color you used on your log walls).

The rocking chair is available from Rocky Top Log Furniture for $139. (If you prefer to get cozy with your partner, you can get the double rocker for $200.)

First Post on the Log Blog

After spending the last ten years drooling over log home magazines in Barnes and Noble, I’ve decided to start a log blog.  Though I’m not any closer to being able to afford my own log cabin than I was when I was 19 (and the obsession first hit), I know a lot of people are, and they’re looking for ideas on how to build their home, either a custom job or through a company that sells kits.  They’re also looking for furniture ideas to pimp out their log homes once they’ve been built.  I’m hoping to find lots of cool stuff to write about in this blog, so stick around.
